Kayak Group

Paddling a kayak is a fun way to cool off during the summer months, and a great way to see the wonderful area sites from the water while staying in shape!
Paddlers of all levels are invited to join us for refreshing trips on local waterways. The Club even has three loaner kayaks for use by members and their families. They are single, sit-on-tops and can be reserved by contacting the Dockmaster. We suggest a donation to VYC of $15/day.
On the first Tuesday of each month, we gather for a Kayak Table at the Fleet Captains’ Lunch at 11:30 a.m. upstairs in the Club to plan trips today.

Every Tuesday night, enjoy a delicious dinner with VYC friends!
Dinner: 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. ~ Bingo: 8:00 p.m.
Choice of Soup or Salad ~ Choice of Five Entrées ~ Preselected Dessert
Enjoy special holiday bingo events and dinners, including Valentine's Day and Christmas Bingo just to name a few!

The ladies of the Venice Yacht Club get together for a group luncheon every month. We have exciting programs, speakers, and fashion shows. This is one of our more popular events.
Some of our most recent luncheon themes have been:

  • "Fashion Show - Patchington", an opportunity to view their new style of clothing.
  • A presentation about the different costumes and props used for several of the performances at the Venice Theatre.
  • Life's A Circus - Venice Circus Arts Foundation - history of Venice area circus and performance.
  • A presentation on Sarasota County's 116 plus Parks, Beaches, Natural Areas/Preserves, Water Access Areas, Athletic Complexes/Fitness Centers, Dog Parks and Trails for your enjoyment. too many more to mention! It's not just for the ladies - men often visit too!
