the dock master of this fact as well as the listing brokerage

- Dock storage boxes are permitted but must conform to VYC standards.
- Slips may not be used for "dead storage" of a boat.
It is the policy of the Club that docks shall be occupied by

of the Docking Committee, appear
to indicate inactivity for any one or more of the following reasons:
lack of proper maintenance; vessel not
seaworthy; vessel not visited or used regularly by the owner(s). Boats
not used by the owner(s) for a period
of 60 days or longer will be brought to the attention of the Docking
Committee. For any Boat that has not
been used for a period of 60 days, the Docking Committee will send
a letter to the slip renter advising them
that they are not abiding by Rule 11 and their failure to comply within
the next 15 days will result in their
monthly fee being increased to the local commercial rate of nearby
marinas. There will be a one month minimum
charge retroactive to the original date of the violation. If the situation
still exists 60 days after the first
notification letter, the renter will be asked to remove the subject
boat. It is the renter's responsibility to notify
the Dockmaster each and every time the boat is taken out.
- During hurricane season, extra security measures as advised by
the Emergency Preparedness Committee should
be implemented.
- Complaints, suggestions and comments should be made in writing
to the docking committee.
- Dumping of oil, fuel, and other contaminants on club property
or in dumpsters is prohibited. All such fluids must
be taken off club premises in appropriate containers for proper disposal.
- All vendors working on member and guest boats must register with
the dock master and have a current certificate
of insurance on file with the Venice Yacht Club.
- In the event of an emergency a vessel may be removed without the
owner's knowledge and consent at the direction
of the club manager or flag officer.
- A one-year docking agreement shall be executed between the Venice
Yacht Club and active boating members covering
such things as slip rental, liability, etc. The agreement is subject
to annual renewal to members demonstrating
active boating consistent with the club's charter. (Docking assigned
to encourage active boating).
